New Hire Reporting Requirements

If you hire employees there is information that you need to secure for your records and forms that you must complete.  Visit the Hiring Employees page on IRS.gov as well as search for Form W4 - Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate.

The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 requires all employers to report newly hired and re-hired employees to a state directory within 20 days of their hire or rehire date.
